My Big Lesson

How to manage my stress. I feel like I’m a different person every two months here. I don’t get very stressed at work, but I’ve learned how to stay focused on goals and manage my workload. 

My Favorite Memory

Meeting everyone in Colombia. We did a workshop and had dinner with the team. When we were in Barranquilla, we got to enjoy the first night of Carnaval!

My Big Surprise

How challenging HR is. Taking on the workload has surprised me with how much I can get done in an hour. 

What I’m Proud Of

I’m most proud of the work I’ve been doing meeting the Accounting Leads and working with the HR department. I enjoy seeing everyone’s feedback and working to make Proper better.

What was your childhood ambition?

I wanted to be a veterinarian.

If you could work remotely from absolutely anywhere, where would it be?

Noosa Heads, Australia.

What is your favorite type of taco? 

Carne Asada. 

What’s inspired you recently?

My husband. He’s transitioning back to civilian life from the military, so I’ve been inspired by how well he’s handling it. A lot of veterans find the transition difficult without a support system, and he’s finding a new job and going back to school to study cybersecurity. It’s really inspiring. 

If you could be any animal, which would you be, and why?

A tiger. Easy. I like tigers. I was born in the year of the tiger and grew up always wanting a pet tiger. They’re the largest feline—larger than lions— and really intelligent and stealthy (kinda like me). I like how they’re powerful but not as show-offy as lions. I have an obsession. My dog is even named Tiger.
