My Big Goal
I want to become a GA. I’ve been fulfilling many of the GA functions for my Pod already, so I’d like to advance to the title.
My Big Lesson
Controlling stress. In the beginning it seemed like too much — too much work to do, too much to learn — but while working with my team, I’ve learned to handle challenges better when organizing my work.
My Favorite Memory
Every Friday, my Pod gets together for team building to play games, tell jokes, and share personal stories, which is always fun.
My Big Surprise
When I first started, the role was challenging. It was my first experience with this kind of accounting and accountability — I felt like I was floating. But now I really love working for Proper, and I’m enjoying my role as an AC II.
What I’m Proud Of
My capacity to handle more and more tasks. When I started, I was handling half the bank recs I am today. Now I’m completing around 40 financials every month and becoming an expert — I like that.
The Fun Stuff
What was your childhood ambition?
I wanted to be the leader of a big company.
If you could work remotely from absolutely anywhere, where would it be?
Here in Santa Marta, because it’s where all my friends and family are.
What has inspired you recently?
Teamwork. My team has a great relationship, and we come together to accomplish our goals. It’s motivated me to succeed because if I fail, I’m failing my team.
If you could be any animal, which would you be, and why?
A monkey or gorilla. They’re smart and strong and not dissimilar to a human!
What’s your go-to karaoke song?
Tea or coffee?
Coffee.
What’s a movie everyone should see at least once?
The Harry Potter series.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Honor your father and mother, and you’ll be good in life.
