I want to start training more SDR Managers, see the development team expand, and move into a Director role where I oversee our entire cycle and further build out the department.

My Favorite Memory 

Our Sales kickoff in March was great. It was good to have the entire team there and meet face-to-face. Making a physical connection with everybody was awesome. Getting a whole group together —especially salespeople— can be really fun. 

My Big Surprise

How quickly teams and companies can pivot. I’ve worked for startups before, so I know they can pivot, but I was surprised by the quick adjustments that have been made and how agile Proper is as a company. 

What I’m Proud Of 

Watching my Sales Reps develop and become better. I did a good job! 

Most of these guys coming in had never done sales before, so having them come in and become full-fledged salespeople is great. Their knowledge has tremendously grown.

What was your childhood ambition?

I wanted to be a Senator or President. I always loved history and politics—but when I eventually got into it, I didn’t like it. 

If you could work remotely from absolutely anywhere, where would it be?

Sardinia. Island in the Mediterranean right near the cradle of civilization, walking out to the beach from my villa…

What is your favorite type of taco?

Grilled steak. Spicy. 

What has inspired you recently?

My dad recently lost sight in one eye, and he’s a professional bowler, so watching him go through that process and adapt — and still be a better bowler than me— has been inspiring. 

If you could be any animal, which would you be, and why?

An orca. They’re super smart, they don’t attack humans, they communicate, and they have languages between their hunting packs. 

What’s your go-to karaoke song?

“Bohemian Rhapsody” — Queen

Tea or coffee? 

Coffee. Tea doesn’t give me the kick I need. 

What’s a movie everyone should see at least once?

Tommy Boy — also a good sales movie. 

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Live like you’re your future self, re-experiencing your life in the past. Small, menial tasks are more important when seen from a larger perspective.
