My Big Goal

To be promoted to AC II, I’ve been working hard and putting all my effort toward getting that promotion. 

My Big Lesson 

Trust for myself, my team, and the process. When I first started, I didn’t really believe in myself, so looking back at my doubt about everything I can do now, I’ve learned to trust myself and my team more. My team was a huge part of my growth at Proper. 

My Favorite Memory 

Our Halloween team building when we all dressed up in costumes (I was Fred Flintstone). It was fun to see everyone dressed up on camera. Then we played a game where we showed pictures of our younger selves in costume and guessed who was who.

My Big Surprise 

In previous jobs, I didn’t work as much on teams—it was just me by myself. So it surprised me how, at Proper, the team succeeds together—if I do well, my GA does well, as does my AL, so the team needs to work well and together to succeed for clients. 

What I’m Proud Of

I studied international business, not accounting, but I’ve always loved accounting, so when I started, it was overwhelming. But now, my pod has a new team member, and I’ve been able to support her and train her on processes I wasn’t comfortable with when I started. It made me realize all of my effort was worth it. 

The Fun Stuff

What was your childhood ambition?

I wanted to be an actor and singer! I don’t sing or act, but that’s what I wanted to do. 

If you could work remotely from absolutely anywhere, where would it be?

Paris! My sister lives there with my new niece. 

What is your favorite type of taco? 

Pastor always. 

What has inspired you recently? 

My niece inspires me every day. Seeing her grow up with my sister as a mother and learn new words in three languages (English, French, and Spanish) is inspiring. 

If you could be any animal, which would you be, and why?

A dog always—I love dogs. They’re my favorite. 

What’s your go-to karaoke song? 

“Como La Flor” — Selena 

Tea or coffee? 

Coffee. I drink it socially, and I love being with my friends. 

What’s a movie everyone should see at least once?

Les Miserables.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Everything passes. Things happen. This, too, shall pass
