My Big Goal

I’d like to be promoted to AC II. I’m ready to take on new challenges and responsibilities, and I’ve been working hard toward this goal so I’m prepared for a new position. I’ve made it known to my Accounting Lead that I’m set to advance. 

My Big Lesson 

In addition to the accounting software I’ve learned, like AppFolio and Yardi, I’ve learned how to work in a team, and patience and communication with each other are crucial to getting things done. 

My Favorite Memory

Before my Accounting Lead, a colleague from Colombia, moved to another position last October, she shared a lot of knowledge and advice on improving my work.

What I’m Proud Of

Everything I’ve learned! When my Pod underwent some changes, I had to take on some new tasks, so I learned a lot and deepened my knowledge to prepare myself for the AC II position. 

The Fun Stuff

What was your childhood ambition?

I wanted a luxury car and a big house, so I’m working hard to achieve that now. 

If you could work remotely from absolutely anywhere, where would it be?

Iceland. I’ve seen pictures, and everything from the rivers to the volcanoes makes it seem like a beautiful country. I like cold weather. 

What is your favorite type of taco? 

Al Pastor. I like the flavor combination of the meat and pineapple, but Carnitas is also big here in Michoacán.

What has inspired you recently? 

My dad is a hard worker and a very good man. He’s given my family and me a better life and inspires me in many ways. 

If you could be any animal, which would you be, and why?

Maybe a dog. I like dogs, and they’re loyal — I’m a loyal person. 

What’s your go-to karaoke song?

Tea or coffee?

I prefer coffee — a little sweet, not too bitter; I don’t like tea.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

My dad told me to always stay humble with my feet on the ground — advice I apply to my daily routines.
