My Big Goal 

I’d like to continue on this professional path. I started as an AC I, and now I’m an AC II, so hopefully, the next step is to become a General Accountant. 

My Big Lesson 

Working as a team. Before I started with Proper, I was with another company where the work was individual or direct with the clients.

Here at Proper, keeping in touch with my accounting colleagues and other departments is the most important aspect of our work.  

My Favorite Memory 

We had a team-building session with the whole team, where we guessed songs and played painting games. 

My Big Surprise 

How property management works in the US. In my previous job, I was in charge of AP and AR, so I expected things to be similar, but they are quite different. 

What I’m Proud Of 

Being part of Proper’s culture. There are many tasks and plenty of work, but you can learn a lot and even have the space to take care of your personal life.

What was your childhood ambition?

I wanted to work in finance. When I started working with Proper, I studied International Business, so I always wanted to do something like this. 

If you could work remotely from absolutely anywhere, where would it be?

Miami, maybe because of the weather — it’s just hot in Santa Marta. 

What is your favorite type of taco?

Chicken with cheese. 

What has inspired you recently?

I’ve found inspiration in myself. I have people around me, like my father, brother, and girlfriend, who will benefit from continuing to develop my knowledge and advance my career. 

If you could be any animal, which would you be, and why?

I’d like to be an eagle. They have excellent vision, are perfect hunters, and fly higher than any other animal.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

My father advised me to think twice before acting on any big decision.
