My Big Goal 

I want to get a promotion, maybe to General Accountant. I wouldn’t mind working with Implementation or another team.

It would be interesting to be part of that because it provides scenarios for working with many different departments in Proper while developing leadership skills. It would be great for me. 

My Big Lesson 

Every day, I learn something new at Proper, but something I’ve taken to heart is that all challenges will pass, and what comes at the other end is usually much better.

When it’s over, it’s just a memory, and you’re a better professional and better person for the experience. 

My Favorite Memory 

My best experience here was meeting a small part of the Proper team at the Barranquilla workshop; hanging out with people like Mark and JP was amazing. 

My Big Surprise

The biggest surprise for me was the closeness between everyone at Proper, from Matt and Mark to all the other members of Delivery or IT. Mark is as accessible as any team member, and that’s not usual at most companies. 

What I’m Proud Of 

Being considered for a promotion after just four months at Proper. I’m also proud of my ability to help some bigger and newer clients move forward. I’ve been able to contribute to their retention and improving their process. 

 The Fun Stuff

What was your childhood ambition?

I wanted to be a singer and dancer — I had a microphone and just sang and danced all day as a kid. 

If you could work remotely from absolutely anywhere, where would it be?

Santorini, Greece, could be a great place to work. 

What is your favorite type of taco? 

I’m not a big fan, so I don’t have a particular favorite.

What has inspired you recently? 

My little sister. Seeing her dream and travel to different sites and countries inspires me to continue working and encourage her to keep achieving. 

If you could be any animal, which would you be, and why?

A horse. I love horses. They’re my favorite animals—super intelligent, social animals.

Of course, coffee — I’m from Colombia.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Some good advice I got from someone at Proper was that “we won’t know if we’re good at something until we actually do it.” Since then, I have applied it to everything—I’ll never know if I can do something until I try, so I try.
