My Big Goal

I would love to be a GA. The timing hasn’t been right for me to advance yet, but I hope it’ll happen within the year. 

My Big Lesson

Teamwork! It’s what I enjoy most with my Pod — it’s magic! Sometimes, I can’t do something by myself, but we get more and more people involved until our shared knowledge takes care of the challenge, and we all deepen our understanding. It’s my favorite part of working with Pod 6. 

My Favorite Memory

One of my favorite memories was being recognized by the clients. I helped address one of their needs, and they took the time to say how much they appreciated my help.

Another time, one of my colleagues and former Welcome Buddy, Mariana Patiño, before she left our Pod, everyone wrote her a nice message before she moved on. It was nice to appreciate her and see her appreciated.

My Big Surprise

Proper’s restructuring as an international company. I expected some of my coworkers might move on, but I was surprised how many people continued working with us and remained happy to work at Proper!

What I’m Proud Of

I’m proud that I’ve had the opportunity to provide training, and I’m proud of my team because I’ve been able to share tools for their development.

What was your childhood ambition?

I wanted to be a Hawaiian dance teacher.

If you could work remotely from absolutely anywhere, where would it be?

Dubai. It would be great.

What is your favorite type of taco? 

Barbacoa.

What inspired you recently?

My boyfriend. No matter how bad things get, he always finds something good, and his capacity for patience, to allow people to make mistakes and let things go, is inspiring. He’s a great human—very resilient and easy to get along with in any situation. 

If you could be any animal, which would you be, and why?

Lion. I just like their walk—it’s sexy and glamorous. They look confident and competent. I like that. 

What’s your go-to karaoke song? 

I’m the worst at singing, so probably something everyone can sing: “YMCA” — Village People.

Tea.
