My Big Goal

To gain clarity on more of our accounting processes and increase my knowledge. The Delivery team has a heavy workload and low bandwidth, so I want to understand more processes to help ease that burden for my Pod.

My Big Lesson

Outside of specific accounting topics, I’ve learned to investigate and explore more. It’s helped me a lot this year — as an AC II, I have a responsibility to help my AC I’s as well, so I’ve taken it upon myself to search for more than what’s right in front of me. 

My Favorite Memory

The year I met my manager in person in Bogotá. It was a good trip because I got to confirm that she’s as great a person as I imagined. 

My Big Surprise

I’ve surprised myself that not only can I handle the work, but I can help others and take on new tasks, like historical accounting, because I like the challenge. My manager noticed that I’ve taken on the workload of two accountants. 

What I’m Proud Of

One of my AC I colleagues complimented my work. I was flattered that he said so, but also proud that he can count on me for support.

What was your childhood ambition?

To have enough money to travel the world. 

If you could work remotely from absolutely anywhere, where would it be?

I don’t know if I’d travel to another country. I’m good working from home because I can stay near my baby, which is why Proper is the best job for me.

But if I had to pick? Greece. 

What is your favorite type of taco? 

I don’t eat tacos. They don’t sell them in my city!

What inspired you recently?

Recently, Circumstances around me have forced me to summon up my courage and learn the hard way to say “no.” It’s been inspired by my husband, who has the kind of personality that makes him easily stand up for himself and set boundaries without being rude.

If you could be any animal, which would you be, and why?

Butterfly. They’re beautiful, and they fly!

What's the best advice you've ever received?

Don’t lean on your own plans. Sometimes, we put too much faith in other people and our own plans, but we must remember to trust those plans with God.
