I am still working to grow as an accountant and acquire new software knowledge and technical skills to help my Pod.

Teamwork is the key to good days in the office, better results, and a positive work environment. I’ve also learned to seize opportunities in the moment. 

My Favorite Memory

My first day is still my favorite memory. I remember the emotion of my decision to come on and stay on with. That feeling remains. 

My Big Surprise

All of the tools Proper provides to help us to do the work. Since I’m working in El Oro, a small Mexican town, I’ve been surprised by what we’ve been able to achieve at a distance. 

What I’m Proud Of

How much I’ve learned about property management accounting. I worked in other accounting areas before I started with Proper, but there’s so much to learn about property management beyond its many aspects and topics. 

The Fun Stuff

What was your childhood ambition?

To drive a car! My father had a car, and my sister and I always played with it, pretending to have cell phones. The first thing I bought when I started to work was a car! It was a great moment for me. 

If you could work remotely from absolutely anywhere, where would it be?

Isla de Pascua. It’s beautiful. My son and I saw a video and couldn’t stop talking about how nice it looks. 

What is your favorite type of taco? 

Asada from Monterrey. It’s the best!

What’s inspired you recently? 

My family, as always, but especially my son, Nestor. I have the opportunity to view life from his eyes, which inspires me to keep learning. 

If you could be any animal, which would you be, and why?

A royal corgi, just for fun. My group chat with my siblings is called the “Corgis,” and it would be great to live that royal corgi life in a castle. 

What’s your go-to karaoke song?

Tea or coffee? 

Coffee. Absolutely without sugar. Never sugar. 

What’s a movie everyone should see at least once?

Only the Brave

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Work in the spring and rest in the winter — it’s an aphorism that reminds me to work hard now so I can reap the rewards in the future.
