My Big Goal

I’d like to complete another year with Proper and maybe become a General Accountant. 

My Big Lesson

I can do anything I set my mind to. I don’t have much of an accounting background, but I’ve learned and grown as an accountant here at Proper, so I can do anything if I try. 

My Favorite Memory

I liked the company-wide meetings we had before the holidays. Things were relaxed, and we could meet other co-workers — not just people within my Pod, but across Proper. 

It helped me get to know new people, not just my immediate teammates, and share with other departments. 

My Big Surprise

Your teammates are your peers, and everyone communicates. In previous jobs, there wasn't much feedback given or taken. Here, you can talk to your GA, SA, or even AL, and they’ll listen, which has been surprising. 

What I’m Proud Of 

That I became an AC II. It’s pretty recent, but it’s a significant accomplishment. I got help from everyone on the team, and it’s good to realize I can grow and work my way up with Proper. 

The Fun Stuff

What was your childhood ambition?

I went from wanting to be an actor doing musical theatre, then I wanted to be a teacher. I guess I wanted to be a part-time teacher/part-time actor. 

If you could work remotely from absolutely anywhere, where would it be?

Maybe somewhere in England — probably London. 

What is your favorite type of taco? 

Birria. 

What has inspired you recently? 

My cousin. She left the country with her family to seek new adventures in Spain. Seeing her make this dream come true is very inspiring, and I realize that’s something I also want to do. 

If you could be any animal, which would you be, and why?

A dolphin. They’re intelligent and good swimmers. I feel free when I swim; it’s sort of like flying.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

If you have a problem with me, talk to me. If you can’t talk to me, we’re not close enough to have a problem.
