My Big Goal

I was recently promoted from AC II to GA, so I want to keep taking in more information and growing my knowledge in this new position. My principal goal is to be the best GA for my Pod. 

My Big Lesson 

I thought I knew everything about accounting and accountability, but when I started with Proper, I figured out how much more there is to learn. There’s so much about accounting we don’t learn in university, so when I took on this job, it was a whole new world for me about property accounting, accountability, and even US business practices. 

My Favorite Memory

One of our biggest clients congratulated me and thanked me for everything we accomplished for them. 

My Big Surprise 

Being promoted to GA so soon. After such a short time with Proper, my leadership noticed my work and skills. They offered me an opportunity I wasn’t expecting, which was great. 

What I’m Proud Of 

I’m proud of how I’ve worked with my team. Working with people in Mexico and different parts of Colombia was a challenge. We had to adjust to different working styles and cultures. 

When I took over as a GA, I realized I was a good leader and capable of accomplishing more than I expected with my team. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished as a Pod.  

‍The Fun Stuff

What was your childhood ambition?

I wanted a big house with a big family and maybe my own company. Anytime I get tired of working, I remember my dream of having my own home and realize that all of my work is toward that dream. 

If you could work remotely from absolutely anywhere, where would it be?

I want to go to the US. My friend visited, and people from around the world meet there. It is a land of opportunity where I can continue working and improve my English. The first city I’d like to see is Orlando — I want to visit Disney World. 

What is your favorite type of taco?

Al pastor. 

What has inspired you recently? 

My family always inspires me. I have a mother who’s really hard-working, and always inspires me to be ambitious and keep working toward the next position and accomplishment. 

If you could be any animal, which would you be, and why?

I’d be a dog. It’s an animal everyone loves, and I’m someone who loves to express and share love. 

What’s your go-to karaoke song?

Coffee with milk.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Your present doesn’t determine your future. It’s helped me be patient and remember that I don’t have to rush — every moment in life is a learning moment along the way.
