My Big Goal 

The first thing I can think of is becoming a supervisor, but at the moment, I’m working on keeping my team organized and aligned with the company vision. I want to have my team improve on Proper’s goals.  

My Big Lesson 

Trademark Residential poses a significant challenge as one of our larger clients. As my first client in a Senior role, navigating Trademark's Onboarding was initially daunting. They were at risk of churning until we pinpointed areas for improvement. This marked the most significant lesson and achievement for my team and me this year.

My Favorite Memory 

We had a workshop in Barranquilla with Uma, Mark, and JP. It was a great day when we shared memories and thoughts on working at Proper, as well as aspects of our personal lives. Creating these kinds of spaces for us to interact keeps us all connected and in line with the Proper’s vision. 

My Big Surprise

The culture committee. I feel good about my work at Proper, so I didn’t think we needed a culture committee. But being part of the culture committee has been awesome. We share a lot of ideas and ways to support Proper People. It's surprised me how impactful and helpful the culture committee is. 

What I’m Proud Of 

Becoming a Senior Accountant. I worked hard for this position.

I had the skills to be a Senior when an opportunity came a few months after I started, but I wasn’t sure about taking the position so soon. I knew I wanted to hone my soft skills, work hard and prepare myself to become a Senior Accountant at the next opportunity.   

The Fun Stuff

What was your childhood ambition?

I wanted to be a doctor, but when I grew up, I decided on accounting.
Now that I've finished my law degree, I’ll become a lawyer, so I probably mixed up my ambition!

If you could work remotely from absolutely anywhere, where would it be?

Somewhere in Greece. I love the beach. It would be amazing to work with a view somewhere along the Santorini coast, near Positano, Italy.  

What is your favorite type of taco? 

Al pastor.

What has inspired you recently? 

I am the first in my family to graduate from college, and thanks to this job at Proper, I've been able to help my brother as he began university last semester. Knowing that soon I won't be the only graduate in my family inspires and fills me with immense pride.

If you could be any animal, which would you be, and why?

An owl. I love how peaceful and quiet they are.

I'm a coffee person now.

What’s a movie everyone should see at least once?

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

My mom once told me, “if you are not going to be the best at something, don’t do it.” Those words sunk into me, because even when I’m not the best, I don’t quit; I work harder to eventually become the best one day.
